Retail Shop Entrepreneur | Cayenna Dancewear
Portland, Maine | 2002-2006
Fulfilling my shop owner dream, I founded and operated a retail storefront in Portland (and affiliated ecommerce site) that sold activewear, dancewear, dance shoes, and punk fashion. I know, one of those things is not like the other. This was a difficult journey, and ultimately a valuable education in small business management. I learned so much from doing everything wrong. In early 2005, given the weight of operating expenses, I transitioned the shop into an eBay store.
